“I work inspired to liberate elements from the daily-drawings I do in sketchbooks, crafting these into new surface pattern designs and illustrations, ones that tell their own unique stories that I can enjoy sharing with others, to then see them appear in their various forms in a broader context and use in the world.” ~ YM

Yvonne’s love of printmaking has evolved to sharing her studio practice across fine arts endeavours, illustration and print. The lino cut, mono-print, screen prints and etching work she has done, influences Yvonne’s use of line and texture in the the surface pattern design and illustration licensing she pursues.

Little Picnic: #1 - MumMA’s Basket

Collection #1
Little Picnic: Basket
Inspired by
Mum, ‘Leila’s’, lilac & white basket...
Never anywhere with out the picnic Basket, my mum would fill it to overflowing with her delicious home baking, fresh fruit, sandwiches, cordial and tea. Theres was always more than enough for everyone, a feat to this day I still marvel at and wonder ‘how’? This is the third of my ‘Little Picnic’ series, the one that showcases the basket and it’s abundant picnic feast. Warm chocolate cake, scones, jam and cream, hot tea in a thermos and mineral water cordials featured in our family picnics. After exploring there would be time on the blanket with mum. These memories of nurture still fill my heart, and make me want to replicate the full sensory delight with my loved ones today. YM
